Bakkt is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). As a SDET, you will join a high performing group of experienced engineers working on systems that support Bakk's operations as a leading crypto first business.

Ideal candidates will have an established background in test automation, excellent communication skills, and the motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

• Take responsibility for the testing of a range of large-scale services
• Define automated test strategy and implementation of tests
• Perform manual testing, smoke testing, and performance testing as needed
• Collaborate with product, project, development, and ops teams to assist in the definition of acceptance criteria
• Support your colleagues in a high-performance software development organization.

The skills you will need to succeed

• Degree or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of hands-on test automation
• Teamwork, willingness to go the extra mile, and a strong sense of ownership
• No only find the issue, but diagnose the problem and offer a solution
• Ability to write, troubleshoot, and analyse SQL
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization
• Be pragmatic - do not let perfect be the enemy of good

Desirable

• Exposure to Java and the Spring Framework
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with messaging solutions like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Background in Fintech, payment platforms, and/or cryptocurrency
• Experience with SDLC tooling like Jira and Confluence
