At Spring Labs, we’re engineering the conversational intelligence engine behind a comprehensive suite of APIs and intelligent process automation solutions for customer support and compliance teams in the financial sector. Built on principles of scalability and robustness, our products are rapidly gaining adoption. We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to lead the development, scaling, and evolution of these systems, designing next-generation AI pipelines and mentoring the team as our platform grows.

In this role, you’ll spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of diverse systems and infrastructure—including data and machine learning pipelines, APIs, and backend services that power our applications. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, product builders, software engineers, and infrastructure teams to distill optimal solutions, ensuring seamless and scalable operations for our AI models and pipelines.

If solving real-world challenges alongside a team of highly skilled, driven individuals excites you—and the prospect of learning from top experts in the field inspires you—we’d love to connect. We look forward to the possibility of welcoming you to the Spring Labs family.

What you’ll do

  • Champion the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ML/AI pipelines, automated workflows, and agentic applications that leverage LLMs for autonomous yet reliable decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data science and product teams to transition machine learning models from development to production.
  • Build customizable pipelines using modern DAG frameworks, enabling rapid development and configuration of tailored AI workflows.
  • Develop systems for automated evaluation and monitoring of LLM applications, ensuring quality and detecting performance degradation in production.
  • Experiment with and integrate emerging techniques, including tool use (function calling and external APIs), dynamic knowledge retrieval, context engineering (prompt orchestration and memory management), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) for structured context and advanced agent behavior.
  • Stay current with the fast-moving AI landscape to adopt the latest models, frameworks, and best practices that enhance the accuracy and flexibility of our systems.
  • Foster good coding and architectural practices, adopt copilot tools as a force multiplier, conduct insightful code reviews, and advocate for automated testing to deliver high-caliber, maintainable code.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on machine learning and AI applications.
  • Hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered applications to production and monitoring them for performance, reliability, and drift.
  • Proficient in Python; experience with Next.js and React is a plus.
  • Familiarity with frameworks for building agentic AI applications, such as LangChain, LangGraph, and other DAG frameworks designed for agentic workflows, as well as orchestration tools like Airflow for broader data and ML pipelines, and managed model platforms like AWS Bedrock.
  • Skilled in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable cloud-native architectures, as well as relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive both independently and in collaborative team environments.
