Day to Day
The Monetization Experience Team is the engine behind Indeed’s employer revenue. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll drive the charge in crafting next generation product experiences where user value meets revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the team’s delivery roadmap, aligning priorities with product and business goals.
- Partner with engineering peers, product managers, UX, and program management to define and execute a clear long-term strategy.
- Mentor and support engineers at varying stages of their careers, from new hires to senior contributors.
- Create conditions that enable the team to self-organize, maintain predictable delivery, and sustain healthy velocity.
- Raise the technical bar by setting clear expectations around quality, processes, and engineering best practices.
- Support technical problem-solving by encouraging pragmatic actions and thoughtful trade-off discussions.
Skills/Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in managing software development with a steady track record of on-time delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
- Significant prior success as a Software Engineer working on challenging problems;
- Proven experience delivering large-scale initiatives that span multiple teams while establishing effective engineering practices and processes.
- Experience with modern software development technologies and architectures (e.g., service-oriented systems, APIs, web or backend frameworks). Experience working modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React) is a plus
- Proven ability to coach talent, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers.
- Dedicated sense of ownership as a technical and product driver.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and business audiences.

Austin 167,000 - 243,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 206,000 - 298,000 USD per year
SF Bay Area 224,000 - 324,000 USD per year
Seattle 217,000 - 315,000 USD per year
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
