Head of Community

Fluence is the first decentralized “Cloudless” computing platform, providing an open alternative to the giant internet cloud monopolies. Fluence is up to 80% cheaper than cloud providers and is both resilient and verifiable. Fluence assembles excess compute capacity from top tier data centers around the world into a global, always-on DePIN network that is suitable for running a wide range of applications. The platform is open, allowing users to change providers easily, ensuring that prices stay low and service levels are high.

As a Head of Community, you will be the owner and the face of Fluence’s community channels and campaigns. This is a senior level position that requires strategic thinking and fast execution, deep knowledge and passion for web3, and experience managing teams and rapidly growing communities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop content, growth and engagement strategies for owned social channels (including, but not limited to Twitter, Telegram and Discord).
• Hire and manage external agencies and in-house community team.
• Be the point of contact for key community members, ambassadors and influencers.
• Develop and own ambassador programs and other community incentive programs.
• Organize and host community events (Twitter Spaces, community calls and other activations).
• Work with marketing team on campaigns execution.
• Organize timely support and assistance to community members, addressing inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
• Gather insights and feedback from the community to inform product development, marketing strategies, and overall project direction.
• Identify opportunities to expand and diversify the community through targeted outreach, partnerships, and engagement campaigns.
• Track and analyze key metrics related to community engagement and growth, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
• Set up and manage security tools and practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Head of Community, Head of Ecosystem, Community Lead or similar role, within decentralized technology space.
• Crypto-native experience: degen investing and shitposting professional.
• Strong understanding of decentralized technologies, blockchain ecosystems, and web3 concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for building communities.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing community platforms and tools.
• Familiarity with community management tools and analytics platforms.
