Are you passionate about solving complex challenges in the fintech space? We’re looking for talented individuals to join our dynamic startup, backed by Sequoia Capital. We’re building the universal payment layer to unify all currencies—fiat and crypto—so businesses and consumers can transact seamlessly. If you're passionate about creating innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we want to talk to you.

We're hiring a People Operations Generalist!

As the People Operations Generalist at Breeze, you'll play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience while supporting the people operations infrastructure that powers our global growth. This is a highly operational and hands-on role that will initially focus on covering a maternity leave period and working closely with our People team to manage People Operations across our global entities.

You'll be primarily based in Singapore and will take on full hands-on responsibility for Singapore People Ops, payroll, and compliance, while also taking meaningful ownership of people operations across our global entities. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong People Ops foundations combined with hands-on experience managing people operations across multiple geographies — someone who is equally comfortable navigating compliance and operations as they are being a trusted, approachable partner for employees across the organization.

We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about the employee experience — not just getting things done operationally, but making people feel heard, supported, and comfortable reaching out on any matter. Someone who can operate as both a trusted People Ops partner and an exceptional operator — hitting the ground running, working closely with the broader team, and helping us build a people function that employees across Breeze truly trust and value.

What You'll Do

Singapore People Operations, Payroll & Compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and people-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate support
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including offer and contract preparation, background screenings, onboarding, confirmation, employee changes, and offboarding
  • Maintain employee records, personnel files, HR systems, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Administer work visa processes, including applications, renewals, transfers, and cancellations
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including insurance, leave entitlements, equity programs, and other employee benefits
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters and workplace policies
  • Support Singapore office operations, employee engagement initiatives, and company events
  • Oversee end-to-end Singapore payroll in partnership with external payroll vendors, ensuring accurate CPF contributions, statutory deductions, and payroll adjustments
  • Manage tax clearance processes (IR21) and ensure compliance with MOM regulations, Employment Act requirements, and CPF obligations
  • Manage leave administration and payroll-related claims including NS make-up pay, maternity, and paternity claims
  • Partner with Finance and payroll vendors on monthly payroll funding, reconciliation, and operations
Global People Operations
  • Take on meaningful ownership of People Ops across Breeze's international entities, serving as a key partner for employee lifecycle processes, payroll, offers, contracts, and day-to-day people matters across geographies
  • Ensure globally consistent people processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements across all entities
  • Navigate multi-jurisdictional employment regulations, partnering with local vendors, legal counsel, and external advisors to ensure compliance across regions
  • Support cross-regional employee relations matters, ensuring they are handled with discretion, sound judgement, and in line with local requirements
  • Partner with Finance and external payroll providers across entities to ensure accurate, timely payroll operations globally
  • Contribute to global People Ops initiatives including process improvements, HRIS enhancements, automation, and operational scalability as we enter new markets
  • Support a globally consistent onboarding and offboarding experience across all Breeze entities
  • Partner with external vendors including payroll providers, equity administration platforms, insurance brokers, and office management suppliers across regions

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of People Operations or HR Generalist experience
  • Hands-on experience managing People Ops across multiple geographies or international entities — this is a must
  • Hands-on experience managing Singapore payroll and compliance, including CPF, MOM regulations, Employment Act requirements, and IR21 tax clearance — this is a must
  • Strong understanding of Singapore employment law, fair employment practices, and work visa administration
  • Genuinely people-first — approachable, empathetic, and someone employees at all levels feel comfortable turning to
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and discretion when handling sensitive matters
  • Comfortable operating independently with a self-starter mentality, high drive, and strong sense of ownership
  • Experience using HRIS platforms such as Gusto, Rippling, Omni HR, or similar systems
  • Experience with equity administration platforms such as Pulley or similar tools
  • Experience working in technology, fintech, startup, or high-growth environments is a strong plus
