Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Drupal Developer to join our team on a contract basis, working up to 40 hours per week through the end of 2024 with the opportunity to extend.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects for a globally recognized brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on front-end development and significant experience with Acquia SiteStudio. You will work closely with our technical leads and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Development:

• Develop and maintain custom Drupal themes, ensuring responsiveness and user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement and style components using Acquia SiteStudio, ensuring seamless integration with Drupal.
• Optimize Drupal sites for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ensure all front-end code adheres to best practices and coding standards.
  
  

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the technical lead to implement development tasks based on outlined plans.
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver on time while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the existing codebase when needed.
  
  

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to front-end functionality and performance.
  
  

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• Strong experience with Drupal (8/9/10) front-end development, including custom theme creation and module integration.
• Hands-on experience with Acquia SiteStudio.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as Twig, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience in building responsive, user-friendly websites with a focus on performance and scalability.
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of Drupal’s caching mechanisms, security best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with tools like Composer, Drush, and Git for managing development workflows.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
