The Opportunity

  • 5+ years of experience in UX copywriting
  • Experience supporting the full product development process, from vision to launch to iteration.
  • Previous experience working cross-functionally with product managers, product designers, product marketing managers, researchers, and data analysts to build exceptional product experiences.
  • A proven track record of translating complex tech and business concepts into clear and engaging writing with a strong, consistent voice.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, and a data-driven approach to copy decisions.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma.

What You'll Be Working On

As Senior UX Copywriter (contract), You’ll Take The Lead In Shaping And Implementing Effective Content Plans Across Our Buyer And Seller Experiences, Working Closely With Design, Product, Research, And Analytics To Meet Business Objectives, Support Our Customers, And Drive Brand Loyalty. If You Join Us, Here Are Some Of The Other Things You’ll Do

  • Plan, write, edit, test, and improve UX copy, including interface language, product names, and navigational nomenclature, in addition to in-product education and marketing messaging.
  • Think through projects strategically and creatively, from idea through production, working cross-functionally with partners in research, data analytics, marketing, design, product, and engineering.
  • Work closely with data analysts and researchers to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including in-person research and A/B testing, to create human, encouraging, and on-brand copy that drives product adoption and builds brand loyalty.
  • Help strategize, implement, and maintain a consistent content strategy throughout the product experience, deeply understanding how customers interact with Etsy, using data to inform decisions, and building alignment between UX and marketing content.
  • Help with team planning, prioritization, and reporting.
